Artist Bio:
Jules (they/them) is a neurodivergent, transgender artist/designer. Jules earned their BFA in Art & Design from the University of Michigan Stamps School, their MS in Historic Preservation from Eastern Michigan University, and is currently an EdD candidate in Education Policy, Organization & Leadership with a focus on Diversity & Equity at the University of Illinois College of Education.
Their academic research is grounded in Critical Race Theory and focuses on understanding systemic barriers to higher education and alternative admissions evaluative processes.
Jules makes creative work that highlights the subject of gender-inequality in both the private and public sectors, and includes overtones of satire mixed with historic religious, museum, and architectural references.
In 2016, Jules founded TriangleWorship as a self-aware, intersectional lifestyle label that experiments with discursive design and creates non-gendered wearables celebrating color and material. Check out some of their work below!
